Jersey City school bringing mini libraries to Bergen-Lafayette

A Bergen-Lafayette elementary school is embarking on a campaign to install 15 mini-libraries across its neighborhood.

The “little libraries” — mini lending libraries where people can take or leave a book on the honor system — are popping up all across the nation, as part of an effort to get kids reading and to foster a sense of community. Each one will hold about 20 books.

Summer Fun Day Camp

Over the past 24 years, the Summer Fun Program has served over 20,000 children citywide. Open to kids ages 8-13 who reside in Jersey City, Summer Fun Program activities include Bowling, Day Trips, Tennis, Golf, Basketball, Swimming, and more. Breakfast and Lunch are served daily for full day participants only. Beat the dog days of summer–come join the Summer Fun!
